The 25th Attack Group is scheduled to host an activation of command ceremony Oct. 2 at 9 a.m.

The 25th ATKG employs remotely piloted aircraft in support of combatant commander needs, deploys combat support forces worldwide and will provide direct support to the 50th Attack Squadron, the future 482nd ATKS, which will be activated on Oct. 3, and the 25th Operational Support Squadron, which will be activated later this fall.

The 50th ATKS was activated in February and currently operates two lines of MQ-9 Reaper aircraft out of Shaw Air Force Base.
