COMACC inducted into Order of the Sword
Gen. Hawk Carlisle, commander of Air Combat Command, is congratulated by Airmen as he walks up the stairs with his wife, Gillian Carlisle, before being honored during Order of the Sword Ceremony at the Hampton Roads Convention Center in Hampton, Va., Oct. 27, 2016. The Order of the Sword is the highest honor and tribute enlisted Airmen can bestow upon a commissioned officer. It is patterned after two orders of chivalry founded during the Middle Ages in Europe and still in existence today - the Royal Order of the Sword and the Swedish Military Order of the Sword.
