A U.S. Air Force 66th Rescue Squadron HH-60G Pave Hawk aircrew member makes final adjustments before takeoff during the Checkered Flag 17-1 exercise at Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla., Dec. 8, 2016. Checkered Flag exercises focus on large scale total force integration which is designed to be rapid responses to unforeseen or unplanned operations.
