AFSOUTH leadership recognizes critical support from Beale Intelligence Airmen

U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Barry Cornish, commander, 12th Air Force (Air Forces Southern), receives a brief on U-2 Dragon Lady capabilities on Beale Air Force Base, California, Feb. 24, 2021. The U-2 is a high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft that enables the flow of intelligence and information to combatant commanders worldwide. This airframe accomplished a recent Department of Defense feat in December 2020, conducting the first-ever flight where machine-learning artificial intelligence was implemented as an aircrew member.
