Colonel Thomas K. Wark is the Air National Guard advisor to the commander, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Langley Air Force Base, Va. He advises the commander and ACC staff on all matters relating to the Air National Guard and serves as the liaison between ACC and the National Guard Bureau, as well as all ACC gained ANG units.

Colonel Wark earned his commission as a graduate of the Louisiana Tech University AFROTC program in 1987. He completed pilot training at Williams AFB, Ariz. in 1989 and continued to F-16 training at MacDill AFB, Fla. He began his operational career at Moody AFB, Ga. in 1990, where he participated in Operation Desert Storm. From 1992 to 1996 he served as an operational F-16 pilot and instructor at the 36 FS, Osan AB, Republic of Korea, and the 706 FS NAS JRB, New Orleans, La.

In 1996, Colonel Wark joined the Virginia Air National Guard. He went on to become the 149 FS commander in 2005. There, he led the squadron's conversion to the F-22 and served as the ANG's first Total Force squadron commander. In 2007, he became the vice commander of the 192 FW. Colonel Wark transitioned to the ANG ACC Integrated Staff in 2008 as the Deputy Director of ANG Forces. He became the Director of ANG Forces, ACC in May of 2009.
