Team welcomes newest 'birds'
NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. -- Staff Sgt. Wayne Frost, U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron crew chief, recovers the newest addition to the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, a Block-52 Lockheed-Martin Fighting Falcon F-16. In addition to the new F-16, the Thunderbirds also welcomed five new officers for the 2008 demo season, including the incoming commander, Lt. Col. Gregory Thomas from Elmendorf Air Base, Alaska; incoming right-wing pilot, Thunderbird No. 3, Maj. Kirby Ensser from Kadena Air Base, Japan; opposing solo pilot and Thunderbird No. 6, Maj. Tyrone Douglas from the 57th Fighter Wing here; advance pilot and narrator, Thunderbird No. 8, Maj. Anthony Mulhare from Luke AFB, Ariz.; and flight surgeon and Thunderbird No. 9, Maj. Guatemalan International Air Show 2005
GUATEMALA CITY, GUATEMALA (AFPN) -- The Thunderbirds fly over the skies of Guatemala during the Guatemalan International Air Show 2005 above an estimated 20,000 Guatemalans. They performed there Oct. 26. The last time the Thunderbirds were in Guatemala was in 1974. Other U.S Air Force participants included the F-15 demonstration team from Eglin AFB, Fla.; a KC-135 from the New Hamshire Air ational Guard; two C-17s from McChord AFB, Wash., and McGuire AFB, N.J.; and a C-130 from the Puerto Rico ANG.(U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sergeant Matthew Lohr)

T-Birds in Guatemala
GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala (AFPN) -- The U.S. Air Force Aerial Demonstration Team, the Thunderbirds, arrived here for the first time since 1974. The team arrived Oct. 24 to participate in the Guatemalan International Air Show 2005. Soaring with 'Thunderbirds'
LITTLE ROCK AIR FORCE BASE, Ark. -- A C-130 Hercules leads Air Force Thunderbirds during a flyover of downtown Little Rock, Ark. The Thunderbirds were the main attraction for the base's 50th Anniversary Air Show on Oct. 7. The show brought crowds of more than 150,000 people to the base.
