Kathleen M. Day

Ms. Kathleen M. Day is the Deputy Director of Financial Management and Comptroller for Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va. As the Deputy Director, she provides strategic guidance and oversight for the management and execution of appropriations in excess of $60 billion. She is responsible for a financial network with more than 850 people and the formulation, justification, and execution of ACC's $7.1 billion annual Operations and Maintenance budget. This budget supports more than 1,000 aircraft, 35 wings, 11 bases, and 1,348 units at more than 300 operating locations with 159,000 total force military and civilian personnel.

Ms. Day began her Air Force career when she enlisted as a finance troop in November 1995. After serving one active duty term, she transitioned to the Air Force Reserves in order to pursue a career in civil service. Starting as a financial management intern in 2000, she moved on to positions of progressively greater scope and responsibility. Today, Ms. Day has over 23 years of financial management experience in both civilian and military roles with installation, major command and joint service specializing in annual appropriations, services acquisition and civilian development.
