Colonel Lester A. “JR” Weilacher is the Director, Financial Management and Comptroller, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis Base (JBLE), VA.  He is the Chief Financial Officer for the largest operational command in the Air Force and the principal financial advisor to the ACC commander.  He provides strategic guidance and oversight for the management and execution of appropriations in excess of $50 billion.  He is responsible for a financial network with more than 900 people and the formulation, justification, and execution of ACC's $4.6 billion annual Operations and Maintenance budget.  This budget supports six Numbered Air Forces/Numbered Air Force equivalents, 34 wings, 1,000 aircraft, and approximately 79,000 active duty and civilian personnel.  

Prior to taking his current assignment, Colonel Weilacher served as the Commander, 66th Air Base Group, Hanscom AFB, MA.  Colonel Weilacher was commissioned as a second lieutenant by his father following graduation from the Reserve Officer Training Corps at New Mexico State University as a Distinguished Graduate. He has served in a variety of financial management and leadership positions at the squadron, group, major command, Air Staff, and Office of the Secretary of Defense levels.
