The Air Force's dress and appearance website is now fully operational and ready to help Airmen with any and all uniform questions. The website which debuted last July, is designed to give Airmen an easily accessible method of finding answers to uniform questions.

Air Combat Command force management officer Capt. Meghan Liemburg-Archer said the dress and appearance website is designed for ease of use.

"It has both pictures and word descriptions of everything," she said. "So you can click if you have a question specifically on PT wear, or you can type in "PT uniform", and it will show you a picture for both genders."

Officials hope simplifying this website will lessen the burden of local personnel offices that field an average of three easily answered uniform questions every day.

"People are coming straight to us as soon as they have a question versus trying to utilize the resources that are there," Captain Liemburg-Archer said.

Using this new website as a resource should help answer some of the more common questions Airmen ask the personnel office.

"Our two most common questions are, 'What can I wear with my PT uniforms and what kind of boots can I wear?' And both of those are very accessible on the website."

The dress and appearance website is not only easy to use, but it's also up to date in the information it presents.

"The website is going to be your most accurate resource," Captain Liemburg-Archer said. She added that if and when changes to dress and appearance standards take place, those changes will appear on this website faster than they'll be updated in any Air Force instruction.

The website also has a frequently asked questions page, which officials look forward to seeing grow into an often used one-stop-shop to answer questions.

"The more people who go to it [frequently asked questions], the more robust the frequently asked questions will become, which will make it even more user friendly," the Captain said.

Airmen can access the public website whether they're at home or at the office by clicking here. For any deployment specific uniform questions, Airmen should visit the Air Force Reporting Instructions Tool, or AFRIT, website here.
