  • 15th OWS creating margin with Ready Month

    The 15th Operational Weather Squadron has introduced a new scheduling model this year to improve readiness, morale and the ability to train. Dubbed “Ready Month,” the plan provides the opportunity for one of the squadron’s four operational flights to come off 24/7 operations for a month to focus on specialized deployment training, team and individual resiliency and flight-wide professional development, while still providing an additional stand-by margin of continuous surge capacity to the operations floor when required.

    The 5th Combat Communications Group has been working hard to ensure war fighters around the world can stayed connected to execute the mission. The group, fondly called the 5th MOB at Robins, provides a variety of critical communication assets, such as radio, phone and internet to support a customer base as small a couple of Airmen to even as large as an entire wing anywhere in the world it is needed.

To reach this vital starting point, the 325th Fighter Wing, Tyndall Program Management Office and Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center collaborated to complete the Tyndall AFB Programmatic Environmental Assessment.

  • First group of Airmen from Hill’s 34th Fighter Squadron return home

    Airmen from the active duty 388th and Reserve 419th Fighter Wings returned home following a six-month deployment to the Middle East. The 34th Fighter Squadron’s deployment, which started in November, 2019, was first F-35 Immediate Response Force deployment as well as the second F-35A Lightning II combat deployment.
