Colonel John P. Flint is the Director of Air National Guard Forces, Headquarters Air Combat Command (ACC), Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. Col. Flint leads a diverse staff of ANG personnel embedded in the Intelligence, Operations, Logistics, Plans, Programs, and Requirements and Inspector General directorates.
Col. Flint was commissioned in June 2001 upon graduation from the Academy of Military Science, McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base, Tennessee. He completed pilot training in September 2002 and has held a variety of flying assignments as an instructor pilot, flight evaluator and maintenance squadron commander in the Air National Guard.
Prior to his current position, Col. Flint was the Air National Guard Advisor to ACC Plans, Programs, and Requirements Directorate as well as the Director, Air National Guard Special Access Programs Management Office, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia.
Col. Flint is a command pilot with greater than 1,900 flying hours, including more than 175 hours leading combat missions in Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. In his civilian capacity, Colonel Flint is a first officer flying for American Airlines.
