Colonel Peter E. Kasarskis

Colonel Peter E. Kasarskis is the Inspector General, Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. He leads more than 150 subject matter experts responsible for conducting more than 75 inspections annually. By spearheading both a rigorous inspection schedule and an open-complaint resolution process, Col. Kasarskis ensures combat readiness, regulatory compliance, and oversight of 78 active and gained wings or equivalent and more than 157,000 Airmen.

Col. Kasarskis was commissioned in 2000 upon graduating from the United States Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science. After completing Undergraduate Pilot Training at Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma, in 2001, and F-16 training at Luke AFB, Arizona, in 2002, he served as an F-16 instructor pilot and flight examiner in various squadron, group, and wing-level positions.

His assignments include Deputy Commander, 354th Fighter Wing, Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska; Commander, 367th Fighter Squadron, Homestead Air Reserve Base, Florida; and Deputy Commander, 54th Fighter Group, Holloman AFB, New Mexico. He also deployed as Chief of Tactics and Mission Systems Operator in the RC-26B and as Director of Operations, 455th Expeditionary Operations Support Squadron, Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan.

Prior to his current assignment, Col. Kasarskis commanded the 8th Fighter Wing, Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea.
