Chief Master Sgt. Richard Parsons, Air Combat Command, command chief, sends a holiday message to ACC Airmen and their families.

"The holidays are a great time of year to connect with family, renew your faith, reflect on the past year and look forward to the future."

"This time of year we should slow the pace and connect with friends and family. Family, friends and the relationships we have with those we hold dear are a lasting and memorable investment. We should also remember those that are deployed and unable to be home with their families. We sacrifice a great deal to serve our nation and secure her freedoms. This is never more evident than during the holidays."

"This is also a time to renew our faith. Many religions celebrate a significant event during this time of year. Whatever your faith background take time to consider the hope that your faith brings and build upon that hope in the face of very trying times."

"As you reflect on the past year, consider all that this great nation and our Air Force family has accomplished. We have turned Iraq back over to a sovereign government, we continue to develop the country of Afghanistan, we have responded to numerous natural disasters while maintaining a posture of readiness that detours others from evil."

"As you look forward to the future, think of your many successes and the successes of those that have come before us. Our nation has faced challenges in the past and will face more this year. We count on you and our great Air Force to lead the way. We can never repay you for your sacrifice and service."

"On behalf of myself, Gen. Hostage, our families and the staff at ACC, we wish you a safe and happy holiday season."
