Airmen from Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, conduct a foreign object debris walk Oct. 1, 2012. More than 390 Airmen participated in this month’s wing FOD walk and collected just under a half-pound of debris. FOD is a substance, debris or article alien to a vehicle or system which can cause significant damage. FOD walks are conducted to minimize possible damage to aircraft from debris.
