LANGLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Va. --  For anyone who's ever wondered what "ACC" stands for -- here's a chance to take a look inside Air Combat Command and get a glimpse of the mission, people and power -- airpower, that is. Find out where we are, what we do and who we are.

Air Combat Command, with headquarters at Langley Air Force Base, Va., is a major command. It was created June 1, 1992, by combining Strategic Air Command and Tactical Air Command. ACC is the primary provider of air combat forces to America's warfighting commanders and operates fighter, bomber, reconnaissance, battle-management, and electronic-combat aircraft. ACC also provides command, control, communications and intelligence systems, and conducts global information operations.
