ACC takes home Air Force STEM awards Published Aug. 5, 2010 Air Combat Command Public Affairs LANGLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Va. (ACCNS) -- Air Force officials recently announced the 2010 Science, Technology and Engineering award recipients. The winners selected must be an Air Force professional with any science, technology, engineering or mathematics, or STEM, Bachelor of Science degree. Nominees must be assigned to an Air Force Specialty Code relating to science or engineering with the exception of the educator category. In addition to the above criteria, all nominees must have contributed to the Air Force continuing its advancement in capabilities that are critical to executing its mission in air, space and cyberspace. An awards presentation and dinner will be held Aug. 18, 2010, at the National Museum of the United States Air Force, at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. The ACC Air Force-level winners are: 2010 Air Force Gen. Lester Lyles Developmental Planning Engineer of the Year Maj. Brendan Walsh, ACC Headquarters, Langley AFB, Va. Mid-Career Civilian Rodney Dutton, 36th Electronic Warfare Squadron, Eglin AFB, Fla. Engineering Team Award Team members are from the 59th Test Evaluation Squadron, Nellis AFB, Nev.
