Donating blood is a top priority for the U.S. military. The Fort Bragg, N.C., medical team is just one of many dedicated to traveling base to base collecting blood from donors. Each donor gives approximately one pint of blood, which is sent overseas to servicemembers injured while supporting Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. The Army medical team knows the importance of donating blood and the direct impact it has on injured troops and stresses the constant need for volunteers to keep providing blood to meet demands.
