Team Whiteman successfully completed its Nuclear Operational Readiness Inspection Oct. 23.

The NORI out-brief revealed the wing remains certified to perform its strategic mission and received a rating of "Excellent" during the inspection.

"I am very proud of each and every one of you," said Brig. Gen. Robert E. Wheeler, 509th Bomb Wing commander. "Your performance during the inspection validated that we are responsible stewards of a critical strategic capability and a zero-defect mission. We are ready for combat across the full spectrum of conflict."

The NORI was conducted here Oct. 11 through 23, by a team of inspectors from the Air Combat Command Inspector General's office. The ACC IG recognized 30 teams and 48 individuals as superior performers.

Commander of ACC, Gen. William M. Fraser III, commented on the wing's NORI performance during his visit to Whiteman Oct. 25 and 26.

"I want to offer my heart-felt thanks and congratulations on the excellent inspection that was recently completed," General Fraser said. "Whiteman continues to be, as we called it many years ago, 'a crown jewel' for our Air Force. The B-2 Spirit and the men and women who serve here continue to lead the way in everything they do."
