The 9th Security Forces Squadron conducted explosives detection training July 30. The training was designed to test a military working dog's detection abilities as well as his handlers ability to direct and manage the dog. The training is also used as a way to maintain and improve a dog's skills while not deployed to a forward location. The 9th SFS currently has a total of 10 working dogs.
