The ACC Combat Targeting and Intelligence Group bid farewell to Col. Chuck Allison as he relinquished command to Col. Phillip R. Pratzner, Jr. in a ceremony here June 12.

Brig. Gen. Larry K. Grundhauser, Air Combat Command Director of Intelligence, officiated the ceremony.

Colonel Allison presided as Commander of the ACC Combat and Intelligence Group, formerly known as the 480th Intelligence Group, for a little over two years. He has been reassigned as the Air Combat Command Deputy Director of Intelligence.

"It's been a pleasure and an honor," said Colonel Allison. "I cherish the time I have had to serve as Commander."

Colonel Pratzner received his commission in May 1987 through the United States Air Force Academy, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree.

He joins the ACC Combat Target and Intelligence Group from the Joint Intelligence Operations Center, U.S. Pacific Command, in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii where he served as Chief of the Northeast Asia Division. Prior to that duty, he was a student at the Industrial College of the Armed Forces at Fort McNair, Washington, D.C.

Colonel Pratzner has also been the commander of the 32nd Air Intelligence Squadron and Deputy Commander of the 32nd Air and Space Operations Center at Ramstein Air Base, Germany.

"I'm excited to be here and have this opportunity," said Colonel Pratzner, "I've never been stationed at Langley and look forward to being a part of this great community."

"I'm honored to be a part of a unit with a storied past and a bright future," said Colonel Pratzner. "I want to thank Colonel Allison and I look forward to the next several years."
