ACC selects best comptrollers for 2008

LANGLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Va. (ACCNS) --  Air Combat Command announced selections Jan. 12 for the 2008 ACC Financial Management and Comptroller awards.

The awards recognize the best financial management personnel and programs in ACC and encompass all facets of financial management from financial analysis to customer support.

"Each award winner was chosen from the best of Air Combat Command based on outstanding accomplishments, dedicated service and selfless contributions to the Air Force mission," said Col. Mike Phelps, ACC Comptroller. "Their selection stands as a great source of pride for their organization, Air Combat Command and the United States Air Force."

Individual award winners are:

A. Financial Management & Comptroller Organization of the Year - 28th Comptroller Squadron, Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D.

B. Financial Analysis Office of the Year - 4th CPTS, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, N.C.

C. Tenant Financial Analysis Office of the Year - 552nd Air Control Wing, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla.

D. Financial Services Office of the Year - 5th CPTS, Minot Air Force Base, N.D.
