ACC heritage celebration to be held Sept. 11

Headquarters Air Combat Command, along with the 1st Fighter Wing, will host its 21st Annual ACC Air Tattoo 7 p.m. Sept. 11 at Langley's Memorial Park.

The 75-minute production honors past and present Airmen as well as traces the growth and development of the world's premier Air Force through dialogue, music, sound and lights.

This unique event features the ACC Heritage of America Band, the Fifes and Drums of Colonial Williamsburg, and the 1st FW's F-22 Raptor and F-15 Eagle. In addition there will also be drill formations, ceremonial displays and fireworks.

Organizers recommend Tattoo guests bring blankets and lawn chairs.. Furthermore, for safety purposes, the 1st Security Forces Squadron asks guests not to bring large coolers, picnic baskets or large bags.

Guests should arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the show in order to find a seat on the lawn. Also, those without military identification cards are asked to enter through the LaSalle Gate; all military ID card holders may enter through the Armistead or King Street gates.
