Airmen, Sacramento team up for Air Force Week Published June 1, 2007 Air Combat Command Public Affairs LANGLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Va. (ACCNS) -- The second Air Force week of 2007 kicks off June 4, as Airmen from Air Combat Command and Beale Air Force Base share the Air Force story with the Sacramento Calif. community. Air Force Week is part of a proactive approach designed to increase public awareness of the Air Force's mission, heritage, capabilities and the professionalism of its Airmen. Each Air Force week includes community visits, talks by senior Air Force officials, flight demonstration team performances and displays providing an up close and personal look at the Air Force men and women who defend freedom around the globe. Additional 2007 Air Force Week locations include St. Louis from July 2 to 8; New England from Aug.18 to 26; Honolulu from Sept. 10 to 16; and Atlanta from Oct. 8 to 14. The inaugural Air Force Week took place in St. Louis in August 2006.
