ACC announces Media Contest results

LANGLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Va. (ACCNS) --  Air Combat Command officials announced the results of the 2006 ACC Media Contest, which honors the best journalism and photojournalism work in the command's base newspapers.

Winners were chosen by a panel of 17 civilian judges with experience in journalism and newspaper operations.

First-place winners will compete in the Air Force Media Contest.

The results are:

1st Place: Wright Times, Seymour Johnson AFB, N.C.
2nd Place: Gunfighter, Mt Home AFB, Idaho
3rd Place: Dyess Global Warrior, Dyess AFB, Texas
