Nominees praised for 2005 Info Ops award

LANGLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Va. (ACCNS) --  Headquarters Air Combat Command announced its nominees to represent the command in the third Air Force Information Operations Award competition.

"The selection process was extremely difficult due to the magnitude of efforts in the past year and the sheer volume of praiseworthy contributions of IO professionals and contributors across the command," said Lt. Gen. William M. Fraser III, ACC vice commander. "The level of pride, professionalism, innovation and commitment to excellence of our IO professionals and contributors is evident in the highly competitive nomination packages which were submitted."

The nominees represent the command in the Air Force competition.

The ACC nominees are: 

- Outstanding active-duty information operations company grade officer (Level 1): Capt. Jamie Velotta, National Air and Space Intelligence Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. 

- Outstanding active-duty information operations company grade officer (Level 2): Capt. Parker H. Wright, 426th Information Operations Squadron, Vogelweh, Germany. 

- Outstanding active-duty information operations field grade officer (Level 1): Lt. Col. Thomas Curby-Lucier, 8th Air Force, Barksdale AFB, La. 

- Outstanding active-duty information operations field grade officer (Level 2): Maj. Michael G. Marsh, 67th Information Operations Wing, Shaw AFB, S.C. 

- Outstanding active-duty information operations senior NCO (Level 1): Master Sgt. Jeff Corey, Air Intelligence Agency, Lackland AFB, Texas. 

- Outstanding active-duty information operations senior NCO (Level 2): Master Sgt. Daryl Crissman, 318th Information Operations Group, Nellis AFB, Nev.

- Outstanding active-duty information operations NCO (Level 1): Tech. Sgt. Aaron Armstrong, Air Intelligence Agency, Lackland AFB, Texas. 

- Outstanding active-duty information operations NCO (Level 2): Tech. Sgt. James Szeredy, 39th Information Operations Squadron, Hurlburt Field, Fla. 

- Outstanding active-duty information operations Airman (Level 1): Airman 1st Class Brian D. Guriel, 43rd Electronic Combat Squadron, Davis-Monthan AFB, Ariz. 

- Outstanding active-duty information operations Airman (Level 2):Senior Airman William Stauffer, 23rd Information Operations Squadron, Lackland AFB, Texas. 

- Outstanding ARC information operations company grade officer (Level 1): Capt. Joseph P. Dunagan, ACC/A8, Langley AFB, Va. 

- Outstanding ARC information operations company grade officer (Level 2): Capt. Kenn Samborski, National Air and Space Intelligence Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. 

- Outstanding ARC information operations senior NCO Level 2: Senior Master Sgt. Thomas Hornstrom, 92nd Information Warfare Squadron, Lackland AFB, Texas. 

- Outstanding ARC information operations NCO Level 2: Tech. Sgt. Michael Barnes, 23rd Information Operations Squadron, Lackland AFB, Texas. 

- Outstanding information operations senior civilian (Level 1): Rhonda Richardson, ACC/A6, Langley AFB, Va. 

- Outstanding information operations senior civilian (Level 2): Porfirio Navarro, 33rd Information Operations Squadron, San Antonio, Texas. 

- Outstanding officer information operations contributor: Capt. Matthew J. Imperial, National Air and Space Intelligence Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. 

- Outstanding enlisted information operations contributor: Staff Sgt. Benji D. Lilley, Air Intelligence Agency, Lackland AFB, Texas.

-Outstanding civilian information operations contributor: Duane Harrison, National Air and Space Intelligence Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
