Command announces general officer appointments, assignment

Air Combat Command officials announce the following general officer appointments and assignment:

The president has nominated to the Senate Lt. Gen. John D.W. Corley for appointment to the grade of general with assignment from principal deputy assistant secretary of the Air Force for acquisition, office of the assistant secretary of the Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C., to vice chief of staff, Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

The president has nominated to the Senate Maj. Gen. Donald J. Hoffman for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment from director of requirements, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Langley AFB, Va., to military deputy, office of the assistant secretary of the Air Force for acquisition, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

Maj. Gen. John J. Catton Jr., director, operational plans and joint force development, J-7, Pentagon, Washington D.C., will become director of requirements, HQ ACC, Langley AFB, Va.
