Senior officer assignments announced

Air Combat Command officials have announced the following senior officer assignments:

Col. Patrick J. Sheets, 380th Air Expeditionary Wing commander, Southwest Asia, will become deputy director, Joint Theater Air and Missile Defense Organization, JCS/J8, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

Col. James J. Jones, 116th Operations Group commander, Robins AFB, Ga. will replace Colonel Sheets.

Lt. Col. Kimberly J. Corcoran, 3rd Mission Support Group deputy commander, Elmendorf AFB, Alaska, will replace Colonel Jones. Colonel Corcoran has been selected for promotion.

Col. Steven P. Kelley, 376th Air Expeditionary Wing commander, Bishkek-Manas, Kyrgyzstan, will become commander, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 805, Texas A & M University, College Station, Texas.

Col. Bradley R. Pray, 86th Airlift Wing vice commander, Ramstein AB, Germany, will replace Colonel Kelley.

Col. William C. Hoffman, 379th Air Expeditionary Wing vice commander, Southwest Asia, will become chief, Contingency Plans Division, Headquarters Air Force Special Operations Command, Hurlburt Field, Fla.

Col. Glen A. Apgar, 435th Air Base Wing inspector general, Ramstein AB, Germany, will replace Colonel Hoffman.

Col. Michael J. Lepper, Director of Operations, 1st Air Force, Tyndall AFB, Fla., will become chief, North American Aerospace Defense Command Operations Division, Headquarters NORAD, Peterson AFB, Colo.

Col. Keith W. Snyder, 71st Operations Group commander, Vance AFB, Okla., will replace Colonel Lepper.

Col. Donald B. Chew, 4th Maintenance Group commander, Seymour Johnson AFB, N.C., will become Materiel Group director, Avionics Production Division, Warner-Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins AFB, Ga.

Col. Kenneth O. Lynn, a student at the Industrial College of The Armed Forces, Fort McNair, Washington, D.C., will replace Colonel Chew.

Col. Marty J. Edmonds, 552nd Communications Group commander, Tinker AFB, Okla. will become Communications And Information Division director, U.S. Central Command, MacDill AFB, Fla.

Col. Kurt A. Klausner, Program Management Division chief, Headquarters Air Mobility Command, Scott AFB, Ill., will replace Colonel Edmonds.

Col. David A. Cotton, 5th Combat Communications Group commander, Robins AFB, Ga., will become Communications and Information director, Headquarters AFSOC, Hurlburt Field, Fla.

Lt. Col. John W. Lent, Plans, Concepts And Operations Division chief, NATO/Allied Forces North Europe, Brunnsum City, Netherlands, will replace Colonel Cotton. Colonel Lent has been selected for promotion.

Lt. Col. Paul C. Strickland, 388th Fighter Wing director of staff, Hill AFB, Utah, will become 8th Operations Group commander, Kunsan AB, Korea. Colonel Strickland has been selected for promotion.

Lt. Col. John D. Stauffer, Intelligence Force Planning Division chief, Headquarters ACC, Langley AFB, Va., will become 607th Air Intelligence Group commander, Osan AB, Korea. Colonel Stauffer has been selected for promotion.
