The Air Combat Command Personal Safety Survey released March 24, ends today.

The survey provides a chance for every military member assigned to Air Combat Command to speak up about sexual harassment and sexual assault.

Participation is key to the success of this survey, said General Hal M. Hornburg, Air Combat Command commander. We all have a role to play in combating occurrences of sexual harassment and sexual assault, and this survey is an important part of determining the overall climate of the command.

Information gathered in the survey will be used with data recently collected by the Sexual Assault Assessment Teams and will be included in the commands April 9 sexual harassment/assault assessment report to General T. Michael Moseley, Air Force Vice Chief of Staff.

Participation in the survey is voluntary and anonymous.

A notice detailing the Web-based surveys purpose and availability was sent to the e-mail accounts of every service member assigned to ACC, said Ms. Debra Collatt.

As chief of ACCs civilian personnel division, Ms. Collatt is responsible for the daily management of the commands Military Equal Opportunity Program and coordinated development of the survey with the Air Force Personnel Center, Randolph AFB, Texas.

This is an opportunity for people to speak up about their own experiences and their knowledge of what resources are available, Ms. Collatt said.
