NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. (ACCNS) -- AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. (ACCNS) An Air Force F/A-22 crashed on takeoff here at approximately 3:45 p.m. Monday.
The aircraft was assigned to the 422 Test and Evaluation Squadron here.
The pilot ejected successfully and was transported to the Mike O'Callaghan Federal Hospital.
An interim safety board of officers will investigate the accident.
