ACC nominates Ellsworth NCO for national award

LANGLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Va. (ACCNS) -- Headquarters Air Combat Command announced its nominee for the 2005 National Image Inc. Meritorious Service Award April 15.

The commands nominee to the Air Force-level of competition is Senior Master Sgt. Paula C. Lopez from the 28th Bomb Wing at Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D.

The award recognizes individuals who have positively impacted the employment, education and civil rights of Hispanic Americans. Individuals earning the award do no have to be of Hispanic origin, but must have made significant contributions to the Hispanic community.

The Air Force will name an officer and an enlisted winner for the award. The winners will be presented their awards at the sponsoring companys national convention in May in Albuquerque, N.M.
