31 March 2016 -- U.S Air Force Gen. Hawk Carlisle commander of Air Combat Command announced the ACC Outstanding Airmen of the Year (OAY), First Sergeant of the Year (FSOY) and Honor Guard Annual award Winners today.
"Each year, we select one Airman from each category to represent the amazing Airmen of Air Combat Command. My thanks to each of you for taking the time to nominate all of the individuals submitted. The caliber of those nominated was impressive to say the least. It was an extremely close competition....all should be very proud," said Gen. Carlisle.
This year, the following personnel have been selected as our winners and will represent the Command at the Air Force level.
Outstanding Airmen of the Year: Airmen Category: Staff Sgt. Jamie Zimmer - Intelligence Analyst (1N051); 347 Operation Support Squadron, Moody Air Force Base, Ga.
NCO Category: Tech. Sgt. Keayana Minus - Aviation Resource Manager NCOIC (1C072); 12 Air Combat Control Squadron, Robins Air Force Base, Ga.
SNCO Category: Master Sgt. Robert Shuman - Explosive Ordnance Disposal Logistics Section Chief (3E871); 49 Civil Engineering Squadron, Holloman Air Force Base, N.M.
First Sergeant of the Year: Master Sgt. Christopher Jachimiec - First Sergeant (8F000); 57 Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Nellis Air Force Base, Nev.
Annual Honor Guard Awards
HG Member of the Year: Staff Sgt. Jay Hamann; 355 Force Support Squadron, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz.
