PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. --
The Air Force Technical Applications Center will host a three-day Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) Symposium Sept. 7-9.
Gen. Ellen Pawlikowski, commander of Air Force Materiel Command and the third woman in Air Force history to achieve the rank of four-star general, will be the event’s keynote speaker. Day one will be held at the Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront, 1550 N. Atlantic Avenue in Cocoa Beach, starting at 1 p.m. Days two and three will be held at AFTAC’s headquarters building at Patrick AFB, Fla.
There will be a media opportunity with Pawlikowski Sept. 7 prior to her keynote address. Designated media parking for this event will be on the northwest side of the parking lot, adjacent to the hotel’s northernmost entrance. Reporters are asked to arrive no later than 12:10 p.m. for the exclusive interview, which will promptly begin at 12:30 p.m.
