Family, loved ones, and service members gathered with Moody's own, Senior Airman Jasmine Smith, 23d Equipment Maintenance Squadron HC-130J Combat King II aerospace propulsion journeyman, in remembrance of her deceased brother, Staff Sgt. Darryl Smith, during his funeral, Oct. 17, 2016, in Sparr, Fla.

Moody’s Honor Guard rendered memorial honors as co-workers of Staff Sgt. Smith paid their respects from Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska and Whiteman AFB, Mo.

Smith was a laboratory technician assigned to the 509th Medical Support Squadron at Whiteman AFB, Mo.

Smith is survived by his wife, Albessa, and his one-year-old-son, Luke.
