34th WS load HH-60s into C-17

The HH-60 is the primary search-and-rescue helicopter for the Air Force, and can also be tasked with disaster and humanitarian relief missions.

The C-17 Globemaster III transported two HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopters for a training exercise.  

The C-17 cargo aircraft is capable of carrying personnel, vehicles and other aircraft over long distance travel.

The Airmen were traveling to Fort Riley, Kan. for training.
