Cold as fusion

Neil Nawrocki, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology student, creates a rivet hole on an aircraft panel during a demonstration of the cold spray repair process in a SDSMT laboratory in Rapid City, S.D., Jan. 31, 2013. Cold spray was created to give aircraft maintainers the ability to minimize downtime and potential damage to their planes while keeping them airworthy at a low cost.
