Ruck March to Remember

A multitude of nearly 150 Airmen and first responders from surrounding communities begin their 11-mile trek during a 9/11 Remembrance Ruck March on Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D., Sept. 8, 2012. The participants traveled from the Pride Hangar, out the base's commercial gate and down the service road along Interstate 90, concluding their march with a special ceremony at an area shopping center as part of a Disaster Awareness and Safety Day organized by the Rapid City Pennington County Emergency Management Office to honor the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
