U.S. Air Force 2nd Lt. Joseph Lindquist, 633rd Security Forces Squadron, fires an M-4 assault rifle at hostile forces during Exercise Eagle Flag at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., Aug. 17. More than 250 Airmen and Soldiers from Joint Base Langley-Eustis recently returned from the week-long training exercise, which is designed to measure units’ ability to deploy and operate in austere environments. Fort Eustis deployed Soldiers from the 688th Rapid Port Opening Element to deliver cargo from the airfield, while Langley Air Force Base deployed Airmen from the 633rd Mission Support Group to establish and operate an expeditionary base.
