820th Airborne RED HORSE conduct air drop and sling load training on Nellis AFB

NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. --Cargo is pushed out from a CH-47 Chinook helicopter from the Nevada National Guard, 1/189th Aviation Company during air drop and sling-load training with the 820th RED HORSE squadron's airborne flight on April 15, 2011 over Nellis. Air drop and sling-load operations are a vital part of war zone logistics. In a changing battlefield the more options to resupply a location the better. Sling- load operations also allow for a quick rig and drop, a testimony to both the pilots flying the aircraft and the Soldiers on the ground. (U.S. Air Force photo by Master Sgt. Kevin J.
