COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Soldiers from Bravo Company, 4th Battalion, 10th Infantry Regiment from Fort Jackson, S.C., fire off a cannon for a 21-gun salute during the Wreaths Across America ceremony at Fort Jackon National Cemetery, Dec. 11. The ceremony was held to remember veterans who have passed, honor those who are serving and have served and teach the nation's children what it means to serve the country. The ceremony included a memorial presentation, World War II wreath laying, recognition of prisoners of war, those still missing in action and Merchant Marines, a 21-gun salute by a cannon battery and buglers.
