BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE, La. -- Lt. Col. Derek Routt, operations officer for the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron "Thunderbirds," describes the features of the F-16D to New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees prior to an orientation flight, April 23. Selected as the most valuable player during the 2010 Super Bowl, Mr. Brees and the team's cornerback, Jabari Greer, had the opportunity to meet with Airmen and their families and fly with the Thunderbirds while the squadron visted Barksdale Air Force Base to perform in the Defenders of Liberty Air Show April 24 and 25. Currently in their 57th show season, the Thunderbirds are scheduled to perform 73 shows across the United States and Canada in 2010. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Richard Rose)
