In this undated photo, Military Working Dog (D114) Marco trains at the Ellsworth security forces kennels with two K-9 handlers. MWDs are afforded the same protection as SFS members and handlers are allowed to use force, including deadly force, if a suspect is endangering the dog. MWDs mirror this protection with their human counterparts; they will attack a suspect without command if their handler is in danger. (Photo courtesy/28th Security Force Squadron)
