Liberty has landed

JOINT BASE BALAD, Iraq — From left to right, Senior Master Sgt. Bruce Hunter, Lt. Col. Phillip Stewart, Capt. Jason Goodale and Staff Sgt. Shaun Nelson, all from the 362nd Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron, pose in front of an MC-12 Liberty aircraft here at approximately 6:45 p.m. local time June 10 after the aircraft's first combat sortie. The Air Force's newest ISR platform, the MC-12 provides real-time intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capability in direct support of Coalition and joint ground forces. Sergeant Hunter is deployed here from Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., and is from Lenox, S.D., Colonel Stewart is deployed here from Langley Air Force Base, Va., and is a native of Silver Spring, Md. Captain Goodale is deployed here from Travis Air Force Base, Calif., and is from Sioux Falls, S.D.
