NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. -- Spc. Cameron Yellen, 108th Air Defense Artillery Regiment Patriot missile launching station operator and maintainer from Fort Bragg, N.C., looks at a Patriot missile launcher while participating in Red Flag 09-3 here Feb. 27. With the capability to identify enemies in the air and protect allies both on the ground and in the sky, the Patriot unit is one of many assets protecting coalition forces at Red Flag. The Patriot is a long-range, all-altitude, all-weather defense system used to counter tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and advanced aircraft. Red Flag is a realistic combat training exercise involving the air forces of the United States and its allies.
