An RQ-4 Global Hawk, like the one pictured above, was launched from Beale Jan. 13 to assist with the humanitarian aid mission in Haiti after the country suffered a 7.0 magnitude earthquake Jan. 12. The Global Hawk flew 14 hours Jan. 14 and will log another 16 hours Jan. 15, providing about 2,000 images of some 1,000 targets, said Col. Bradley G. Butz, vice commander of the 480th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing.
