CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas- Senior Airman Kenneth Alexander, Areospace Medical Technician from McDill Air Force Base, Florida, pushes a gurney back to the staging facility from a C-130 here, Sept. 11. After learning that Hurricane Ike was shifting north, the patients from Corpus Christi were returned to the hospital and some of the C-130's were sent to Galveston, Texas to assist in the mandatory evacuation. The Air Force and other military forces not only respond in support of war efforts abroad but also to threats on the home front including natural disasters.
