Damage is shown to the Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., Main Gate sign after Hurricane Hugo passed through South Carolina the morning of Sept. 22, 1989. No deaths or serious injuries were reported as a result of the storm and damage estimates to Shaw totaled to almost 47 million dollars.
