Gunfighter Flag promotes international interoperability

Two military members sit at the tail-end of a CH-46 Sea Knight helicopter as it takes off March 13, 2014, from Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. Marines from the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., are currently at MHAFB participating in Gunfighter Flag. Military aircraft and personnel from the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps and British Royal Army are performing exercise combat operations throughout the week while participating in Gunfighter Flag. The exercise is designed to prepare multiple joint and coalition terminal attack controller teams for upcoming deployments as well as provide proficiency training for aircrews.
