A 9th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron B-1B Lancer from the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing makes a low pass over the operating area during exercise Spartan Kopis Aug. 13, 2013, over the Arabian Gulf. The Department of Defense recently declared the Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile-Extended Range for the B-1 to be an initial operational capability.
