During Fear Adrenaline Stress Training on Jan. 29, 2015 at Holloman Air Force Base, N.M., male volunteers played the part of a threatening male by the name of “Bubba.” The volunteers put on costume accessories and acted out a situation in which they purposely made the females feel uncomfortable. Toward the end of FAST, the males put on body armor and female participants defended themselves as if they were in a dangerous, real-life scenario. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Emily A.
