COMACC surprised with Order of Sword invitation

Gen. Hawk Carlisle, commander of Air Combat Command, is presented with an invitation to be inducted into the Order of the Sword by Chief Master Sgt. Steve K. McDonald, ACC command chief, during an enlisted all-call at Joint Base Langley Eustis, June 28, 2016. When accepting the invitation, an emotional Carlisle told the mostly enlisted audience “You have all made my life more than any man deserves.” The Order of the Sword is the highest honor Air Force enlisted Airmen can bestow upon a commissioned officer who has made significant contributions to the enlisted force.
